About

Carolina Neuropsychological Service, Raleigh

Neurocognitive Evaluations are designed to measure a person's pattern of strengths and weaknesses in cognitive processing. Important neurocognitive functions measured include Attention, Concentration, Learning, Memory, Problem Solving, and Executive Functioning. Neurologic illnesses such as brain injury, seizures, or strokes negatively affect neurocognitive processing. Additionally, depression, stress, and pain can inhibit cognitive processing. Memory is a very important function, which can be affected by all of the above. Our assessments evaluate several aspects of basic and complex memory abilities, and provide interventions for memory rehabilitation.
