Down Under Surf and Scuba, Raleigh
Al Sabow was first certified as a scuba diver in Canada in 1977. He enjoyed the short summer seasons diving in Ontario lakes and in the St. Lawrence River. After settling in North Carolina over 20 years ago, he discovered two things. The water is much warmer here, and the North Carolina coast has some of the best wreck diving in the world. He now enjoys diving year-round in quarries, off the coast, in Florida, and anywhere else where he can get in the water. Al is married with one son in college. When he is not diving he works as a software engineer at EMC. As a Divemaster, Al gets great satisfaction from watching new divers improve their skills and increase their enjoyment of the underwater world.
