The field of speech/language pathology is very diverse. While we expect all licensed SLPs to be qualified to treat any communication disorder, it is impractical to think that any one person can keep up with the latest developments in all areas. At Let's Talk we realize the value of each therapist developing specific areas of expertise. We have spent considerable time choosing and training LET'S TALK therapists. All but one completed their Clinical Fellowship Year spending a minimum of 10 hours per week under supervision. During their CFY, therapists were exposed to a wide variety of disorders in all age groups. We firmly believe that if you love what you do, you will do it well, so, following the CFY each therapist was asked to choose an area or areas of focus. We then provided additional training and support in the chosen area(s).
